This week, I was focused on continuing the building creation process. I wanted to create a building which was different from my previous two, so I decided to research "Bodegas" for a change of style. The result of this research is shown below, and I'm quite happy with it. I had the roof hanging over the side of the building, and I applied my brick corner method from the previous sprint to decorate the corners. The method I use is to create four stacked bricks on the corner, then use the Duplicate Special tool to add the bricks all the way up the corner. I also have a support beam holding the overhang, which I used a simple cylinder for, but I may change the shape of the support in the future, as I am not very certain of the design.

I then created a thinner buildings, which will sit next to the bodega, shown a bit later in the post. I wanted a simple door and window appearance for the front, and I want to add more detail to the side visible in the picture below. I am currently planning to add a dumpster with a few small props, along with some textures to make the wall pop. I was thinking of using the bricks again, but decided to create a new design. Thus, I added some cylinders, and snapped the center pivot to the corner vertices to add some corner detail. I may increase the size of the cylinders in the future.
Next, I went about blocking the basics of the scene. I don't plan to add much more in the way of setting, and want to show off the scene like a diorama. below you can see a few screenshots showing the blocked out scene. I have the buildings across the street from one another, with sidewalk and asphalt created from the street plane. To accomplish this, I simply translated some of the edges on the street plane, extruded the sidewalk and asphalt sections, and translated them down enough to create divots.

Here, you can see a closer perspective of what I was discussing. I have small divots to outline the sidewalk section, and the street section was extruded and brought down entirely. I plan to add some more details around all the buildings, as well and begin the UVing process. I am aware many sections of the project have improper vertex coloring, but this is just for the blog post, and I will change them appropriately before I begin UVing.
