Western Scene Progress - Week 1

For this assignment, we are being tasked with creating a full interior scene in an old west setting. We were given the choice of either a general store, a blacksmith, or a saloon for our scene. I decided to attempt to create a saloon, and begun work on the early stages of mapping out my project this week. I have included below the concept art I decided on for this project, which I found online while searching for pictures of saloon interiors.

Below, I have included my progress so far on the general blocking blocking of my scene. I tried my best to recreate the angle of the scene, although it is a bit skewed due to my lack of camera placement skill. The main issue I've encountered so far has been the methods of how I am going to create some of my objects in the scene.

There are many small objects in the cabinet that will be quite fun to make, but the large animal head to the left hand side will be a massive challenge, and as of right now I am planning to replace it with another, more feasible object for me to complete. As for the guns in the cabinet, I believe the challenge of modeling them will be quite fun, but the UVing them will prove quite a challenge.

I plan to use a skybox outside with a 360 image to create the outside with windows and a door. As well, I am looking forward to attempting to model the door. The curves will be interesting, and I am not sure if I would like to use a cube with a curve or just a curve.
