Game Scene Final Project Post

This post will cover the trials and tribulations of the final project I created along with three others for CAGD 230. Unfortunately, due to underestimation on my part, and lack of communication with my peers, we did not spend nearly enough time preparing or modeling the scene. There was very little vision, there was very little imagination, and the project was rushed.

Above, I have included an image of the final render. The scene was originally very sound in its composition and format. However, since nobody else wanted to take the role of importing the objects to unity, I stepped up to the plate and did what I could. I was unable to accomplish much of anything within the final weekend of the project, when we did most of our work, but I was able to at least compose something to submit.

Here, I have included a picture of my personal texture map for my building, which is the building on the far left. I would have included the other uv map, but it is one large texture for the entire map, and only applies to one building. I originally was going to apply one large set of textures from the building on the second UV set, but after importing to unity, the lighting applied unevenly across the building, and I was forced to start almost from the ground up.

The entire process was a learning experience, and has taught me greatly about group projects. The deadline was extended, and we still attempted to take advantage of it.
